Why Jamestown Public Schools?

The Jamestown School District is the fourth largest employer in Stutsman County; with 225 staff members providing services to over 2500 students. Our District consists of five elementary schools, a middle school, a high school, a career and technology center, an alternative high school and a transitional living school. The Jamestown School District is the ninth largest district in the state of North Dakota.

Jamestown is proud of our hometown atmosphere and rich history. The City of Jamestown has approximately 21,000 residents centrally located in Stutsman County in southeastern North Dakota and is the largest city in Stutsman County. Jamestown lies just south of both the Jamestown and Pipestem Reservoirs at the confluence of the James and Pipestem Rivers. Jamestown is home to Dakota Miracle-a legendary white buffalo and to the World’s Largest Buffalo Monument named Dakota Thunder located in the Frontier Village .
