Boys and Girls Head Swim Coach

Coach Smith is in his 8th year with the program 5th year as head coach. Ben started competitive swimming in high school at Los Fresnos High School in Los Fresnos, Texas. There he helped lead his team to 3 District Championships, 2 Runner-up Regional Championships and 1 Regional Championship. He was a team captain (2003-2004), 2004 Male District Swimmer of the Year and 2004 Los Fresnos Varsity Scholar. Coach Smith attended the University of North Dakota where he swam all 4 years, he was also a captain (2006-2007) and a 2 time Academic All-American. Currently he teaches Social Studies at Jamestown High School. He and his wife Danika have been married for 3 years.

Boys Diving Coach

This is Brookes fourth year with the program. While attending Jamestown High School Brooke received many diving honors some of which include; WDA Senior Athlete of the Year, WDA Diving Champion, Team Captain and School Record Holder. She is a recent graduate of the University of Jamestown, Brooke works as a registered nurse at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Boys Assistant Swim Coach

Nici brings 14 years of competitive swimming experience to our program. She started club swimming when she was 6. At Grand Junction High School in Colorado she was a 4-year state qualifier and letter winner. She swam for Willamette University in Salem, Oregon where she was a national qualifier and Academic All American. Nici has been teaching swimming for 20 years. She and her husband Chris have two sons, Luca and Jonas.

Boys Volunteer Assistant Swim Coach

A freshman at the University of Jamestown, Cam is majoring in exercise science and pursuing a post-graduate degree in Physical Therapy. He grew up in Helena Montana, swimming competitively for 12 years with the Helena Lions and the Helena High Bengals. While at Helena High he lettered in swimming all four years and was selected swim team captain as a senior in 2015. During that time, Helena High Boys Swim finished in the top 3 each year, winning the State Championship in 2013. In addition to swimming, Cam enjoys fishing, downhill skiing, golfing. hiking and many other outdoor activities.

Girls Diving Coach

Mr. Tews is a graduate of Jamestown College. He has coached Girls Varsity Gymnastics for 38 years, Middle School Girls Track for 38 years and Girls Varsity Diving for 30 years. Mr. Tews teaches history at Jamestown Middle School. He is married to his wife Jeanne and they have 3 grown children, Matt, Abby and Nick and they have 2 granddaughters Addy and Evy.

Girls Assistant Swim Coach

This is Abbys fifth year coaching girls swimming. She was part of the Jamestown girls swim team when she was in high school her junior and senior years and just loved it! Following high school she joined the National Guard where she served for 10 years. During that time Abby was deployed to Iraq and Kosovo. Abby is a graduate of Valley City State University where she received her teaching degree. She now teaches Title I at Roosevelt Elementary. She and her husband Ryan have two little girls, Adylan and Evylan.
