SIXTH GRADE ORIENTATION

Sixth grade orientation will give incoming 6th graders and their parents, grandparents, caregivers, and/or guardians a chance to learn more about the middle school building and the people you will find here. You will also hear about the expectations for being organized, thinking independently, turning in assignments on time, and of the many exciting opportunities available to students this age. Students will also have the chance to go to all of their classrooms and meet their teachers. Adults will discuss a variety of topics covering adolescent development, transition to middle school and guidance and discipline for this new stage of life.
In addition to 6th Grade Orientation, 6th grade classroom doors will be open during schedule card pick-up August 14-15, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., so students and parents may walk through the building and find their classrooms.
