Registration

Jamestown Public Schools serves the Jamestown Community in Stutsman County, North Dakota. Our public school has an enrollment of more than 2,100 students in eight schools, including five elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, one alternative school and one special education transition school.

Eligibility for Registration:

In compliance with North Dakota Century Code students must be five years of age on or before July 31st to be considered for Kindergarten. First graders will need to be six years of age on or before July 31st to be considered.

How do I register my student(s)?

WE RECOMMEND TO USE A COMPUTER, LAPTOP,IPAD TO COMPLETE FORMS.  NOT A CELLPHONE.

 

Step 1 - All new or returning students to Jamestown Public School District will need to begin registration online.

A - Parents/Guardian who have a returning student will enter email and password to Powerschool account or select school by typing Jamestown Public Schools District 1. This will take you to the registration portal. Click Apply to School button to submit. 

 

B – Parents/Guardian who have a New student can create an account by entering email and creating a password.  This will take you to the registration portal.  Click Apply to School button to submit.

Step 2 – Parent/Guardian will receive 1st email confirming receipt of the 1st step of registration.

Step 3 – Once we have reviewed the first step the Parent/Guardian will receive a 2nd email with further step-by-step instructions on completing forms A-K. (Check Junk/Spam Folders)You will need to create an account in Powerschool if you haven’t.

Step 4 - Once you have completed the forms, a registration employee will contact you to make an appointment to finalize the registration. Parent/Guardian bring their ID, student’s birth certificate, immunizations records and custody papers if it applies to the appointment.

****  Parent/Guardians, who need assistance with the on-line process you can call 701-252-1950 or set up an appointment to register your student in person. The District Office has a computer for website access, if needed, for your convenience.

Documents Required for Registration:

School records and original transcripts are required of secondary students and recommended for elementary students. Recent periods of non-school attendance must be accounted for. Jamestown School District MUST receive secondary school records prior to enrollment into classes.

  • School Year-7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Summer Hours-7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
