Jamestown Public Schools serves the Jamestown Community in Stutsman County, North Dakota. Our public school has an enrollment of more than 2,100 students in nine schools, including five elemetary schools, one middle school, one high school, one alternative school and one special education transition school.
Jamestown Public Schools wants to make the school registration process as easy as possible. Registration is held at the district office so that everything parents need to complete through this process is in one place. Registration, the School Lunch Program, Transportation Department and information on the district communications through the district app and website.
Eligibility for Registration:
In compliance with North Dakota Century Code students must be five years of age on or before July 31st to be considered for Kindergarten. First graders will need to be six years of age on or before July 31st to be considered.
How do I register my student(s)?
All new students to Jamestown Public School District will need to register at our District Office located at 207 2nd Avenue SE in Jamestown. Parents/Guardians can schedule an appointment by calling 701-252-1950 to register all school-aged students during one visit. Registrations are held by appointment only. Plan for 30 minutes to an hour to complete the registration process. Children who are enrolling do not need to be present at this appointment but are welcome.
Hours for Registration: 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
District Office Hours:
- School Year-7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Summer Hours-7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
